How to remove paint from tiny fins of copper-brass radiator?

Hi all,

Sorry my bad English, I've purchased old copper-brass radiator with black paint between fins. This paint peels away on many places and stops the air flow. This surface between fins is not accessible, so I think I will need some chemical paint remover ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] . I've tried acetone, but paint only shrinks and peels away, but not completely dissolve (I can't remove these little pieces of paint with water, so I will need completely dissolve it). Then I tried washing soda ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] , but again paint only peels away. I read that some alkalis like NaOH can dissolve paint, but this dissolves brass and copper too :(

Its any easy method how to dissolve paint without attacking copper and brass? For example with some acid and protecting radiator like katode ?

Thanks,

I solved this problem: It was for 8 days in acetone ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] Flammable! , but paint peels completely off only from even surfaces. So I tried boiling it in water with washing soda ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] , which (after 12 hours of boiling) completely dissolves the paint in water.
