Bubbling zinc on machined surface

We have a supplier who is having problems Zinc Plating a part that has machined surfaces. They get a bubbling effect on the machined surfaces only. Why?

Charles, we need much more information to help. Your plater should consult his chemical supplier tech service. What type of base metal do you machine and get zinc plated?

1. Could be cleaning & rinsing prior to plating.
2. Could be contaminated water rinses and his acid. Wrong acid.
3. Could be his cleaners are shot.
4. Could be a contaminated zinc plating bath.
5. Many more.

Try another zinc plater if he can't get it right.
