Degreasing laminations

2003

I want to degrease laminations of a ballast after it has been assembled before dipping into paint. What process is recommended as it should penetrate deep into the laminations and the coil.

A wild guess-vapor degreasing followed by a vacuum drying process. My real belief is that nothing will work after assembly. James Watts
