Copper plates and Bus bar
I would like to make a cooling plate form copper CDA11000. The size I have selected is 10.5" thick x 6" x 10".As I need to drill deep long holes , therefore it is a better choice to select a full hard materials for better machinability. However most copper plates are half hard. Do you think CDA11000 copper bus bars is a good replacement. What is the basic difference in properties and chemical composition of copper plates from that of copper bus bar? Are they be good material base for electroless nickel plating?
Thank you,

Bus bar is usually specified as "hard drawn electrolytic copper", the most important parameter being that the material must be pure copper for high conductivity. Yes, bus bar is easily plateable; it is often tin or silver plated for switchgear application, and it is common in the plating industry to nickel plate or electroless nickel plate bus bar to minimize contamination of plating tanks.
