-----Problem ofpolishing (on the 316 L)
I work on the electropolishing of the 316 L I want to know the bath (the solution ) of electropolishing to have the less pitting on the metal. I work in the sulfuric solution : H2SO4 have you an idea of solution ? volume of H2SO4 , density of courant in mA/cm^2 , the time , the temperature of the solution .... thanks

There are far better mixtures of acids than sulfuric/water for electropolishing. The temp and the amperage depends on which one you choose. There are many sources for this information. One of the highest recognized in the USA was Charles Faust.

You can search on this site or on a search engine like Google for "Electropolishing". There are MANY firms that sell good electropolishing solutions. 80/20 sulfuric/phosphoric is a favorite of many, but some of the commercial formulae are better.
