Reducing cycle time on electrogalvanization line

I am an Industrial Engineer student and I am working on my thesis project. My goal is to reduce cycle time on galvanization line (electrodeposited coating). I have not found the way to reduce time on production area (surface preparation area and galvanization line). I have been looking for the factors that allow me to control the process and reduce the cycle time of galvanization. I hope you can tell me what I have to consider to achieve my goal.

Jorge, if there was an easy way for a zinc electroplater/electrogalvanizer to dial up his production rate he would do it instantly. There is no easy formula for increasing production, you have to look at the actual situation in an individual plant to see if anything can be further optimized--faster moving material handling, higher current, more agitation, less drain time (consequently more pollution), etc.

You need to start with a real-world example and look at it element by element to see if something is sub par.
