-----Dielectric electrolysis of 304 SS and black iron
We install HVAC ductwork and piping. we have an application in which stainless steel (304) duct and black iron (uncoated) duct are in contact. Should we be concerned with dielectric electroysis? I.E. We use dielectric couplings between copper and steel. Do we need a similar inert coupling?

The various grades of stainless have different positions on the seawater series, but it seems that almost all are at least as cathodic as copper. So if conditions and standards require dielectric joints when copper is connected to steel, I think they are also required when stainless is connected to steel.
