Complete tinning copperware

Sirs:

My father left me some bars of pure tin and a vague idea of tinning copper ware. What else will I need to complete tinning copperware?

A book? Unfortunately I can't recommend one and hope that somebody else can.

You'll need flux. It'll clear the copper's surface, lift off oxides and dirt. This helps the tin to bond well with the copper surface and also helps the tin spread out, wetting the surface, instead of forming beads, or balls. A book or somebody else who really knows their stuff is the place to start, but the process will be close to soldering or brazing.
