-----TT-E-515 Replacement?
Has anyone identified viable alternatives to the lusterless alkyd enamel paints covered by specifications TT-E-515 and TT-E-516 which were both canceled without replacements? This coating is still called out on many Navy drawings, and we would like to list a similar succeeding specification (commercial or otherwise), with minimal VOCs, ODSs and ODCs.

Many users are probably in the same situation, and as the cancellations were fairly recent (2000-2001), some manufacturers may still be producing these paints. Check the mfrs. on the most recent QPL�s for any still offering the lower VOC version (Composition L) of each paint. Both QPL-TT-E-515-11 and QPL-TT-E-516-10 may be downloaded at http://assist2.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/ If unsuccessful, try contacting the activity responsible for these Qualified Products Lists: US Army Belvoir Research, Development, and Engineering Center, STRBE-VO, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, for suitable substitutes.
