WHAT CHEMICALS WILL HARM CHROME RIMS?
THOMAS KILPATRICK- LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas
2003
What do you have against chrome rims that makes you want to harm them, Thomas? 🙂
Seriously, there are countless chemicals that can harm chrome rims, including virtually all acids, all strong alkalis, and many different salts. Please try to describe your situation and maybe we can help in some way. For example, sometimes chrome rims peel -- which is always due to manufacturing defect -- but the sellers try to blame "chemicals". You may find our FAQ, "Introduction to Chrome Plating" interesting. Good luck.
