White gold - Iodum tincture

I've got a white gold wedding ring (not plated) which turned yellowish after treating my dog with iodum tincture. Is there any way I can clean the ring personally?

What color did your dog turn? Unfortunately, iodine [affil link] reacts with white gold. Iodine is bleachable, so I guess I'd try diluted bleach or photographic hypo and see if it reduces the intensity of the stain.
