-----Etcher repair
2003
Hello,
I have a cupric chloride etcher with a crack in the floor of the sump, lining the tank is not possible, I am looking to find if there is any way to patch over the crack or use a solvent to mold the tank back together...Regular operating temp. is about 130 degrees, thanks....

It depends on what the etcher is made of, of course. I have seen some made of PVC but I have not inspected the pans of all I've seen so I don't know if that is the "standard". PVC is easy to repair by welding with a specialized electric hot air gun sold by all the plastics suppliers. But considering the chemical exposure and probable ensuing brittleness, you may want to replace that part. There are many skilled plastic repair people who can do this economically.
