NICKEL PLATED SPELTER

What is the best method of caring for antique nickel plated statues? Should I have them finished with some protective covering?

I purchased a antique spelter statue from an auction. I would like to know how to properly clean and protect the patina on the statue.

Thank you.

You can put a little wax on but nothing is best ..handle it regularly to add to patina
