-----Remove the outer layer of a penny
Hello,
I am doing a project for school and I need to know what would remove the outer layer of a penny? How can I do this to a penny to show the silver that is hidden under the copper. Thank you very much for helping me with this information.

Sand it off with sandpaper, Jojo. It won't be too hard. The underlying metal is actually zinc, not silver, and it only applies to pennies minted after 1982 (before that they were solid copper).
