What material needs to be cleaned off of the anodize? Also, how long was it on the surface?
General cleaning rules for anodized aluminum, from the Aluminum Anodizing Council (www.anodizing.org): 1) No acids or caustics. 2) No chlorinated solvents. 3) No hard rubbing with coarse abrasives; the finer grades of Scotchbrite pads or

6) Mild soap is preferable to detergent for routine cleaning.
