Activator
2003
Hi,
I have some electrodes plated aluminum, I need to gold plate it, and I am looking for the best activator bath for it. The nickel plating is done 24 hr before the gold is put on.
Any suggestions; Truly appreciate it.

My interpretation of your statement is that you have some parts fabricated of an aluminum alloy, then nickel plated, then aged in air for 24 hours - now you want to activate for gold plating.
Alkaline Clean-HCl dip-Nickel Chloride Strike (2#/gal Nickel Chloride plus 2 quarts/gal HCl, 6 volts, 60 seconds)-then Acid Gold Strike - then gold plate.
