Alodine bonding surface

I have an assembly which uses Hysol 9394 to bond AL. The bonding surface is grit blasted and ultra sonically cleaned. My question is what effect will Alodining the part/bond surface, have on bond strength? The parts will be stored for several months prior to assembly and I would like to avoid vacuum bagging. I assume it will enhance the bond strength, but I have noticed that, the Alodine surface is not water break free.

Thanks,

A very light barely yellow aluminum chromate will enhance adhesion and also hold the surface during some shelf life.

A heavy yellow aluminum chromate will definitely "bond" but will sheer under load or tape test.
