What is HARD gold Plating?

I sell a range of Gold plated chain and Jewelry accessories which are labeled as HARD Gold plated and come with a 3 year guarantee. What I need to know is - What is the difference between Hard Gold Plating and other gold plating and is it durable and hardwearing? The base metal is brass with a double coating of nickel and a double coating of copper with the gold plate on top. I would hate to be selling a product that is not going to wear well? Can anyone help me?
