Non-subjective electropolish specs?

We are an aero space company using polished stainless steel fuel cap covers made from 321 stainless steel. Does anyone know of a specification controlling high polish finish requirements, to take the subjective opinion out of the "high polish"?

20-20 says you get no better answer than visual! It's a very subjective area. Perhaps you can get ahold of a mold polisher's comparison blocks for different finishes for mold surfaces used in plastic injection molding.
