Coating for deck screws for use in ACQ

2002

Does anyone have any suggestions on a coating that will do well in product (lumber) coated with ACQ. ACQ is a chemical treatment put out by a company call CSI (Chemical Specialties, Inc.).

I would like to find a coating to apply to our deck screw line that would perform well in their product.

Thanks.

Is there an ACQ testing specification available for coating? What combination of finish and material work best to minimize ACQ corrosion?

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
