Help with custom car alloy top finish

2002

Custom aluminum car top finish- the four sections of the top has been heliarc welded together. Interested in a protective process to keep the finish aluminum? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think your two choices are anodizing and a clear coat lacquer. Ted Mooney, finishing.com Teds signature

Ted thanks for your reply however while I like the anodized finish I understand anodizing will make the weld lines more pronounced.
