Scale removal

2002

Hi all,

This question is related to Scale removal. Please tell why we have scale around the tubing in the well. How can we remove this thing by chemical?

Thanks a lot,

I find your question a bit vague, Phan, but do you mean that you have scale from water hardness? Water contains dissolved impurities; when the water evaporates the impurities stay behind and build up. Any mild acid, even vinegar ⇦ in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil link] if you're patient enough, can remove that kind of scale.

I totally agree with what Ted had said. Water Impurity and Hardness is usually the major incentive which causes the scale in the water system. Incorporating the mild acids into the water is the good approach to work out this problem ,particularly the water hardness. Ted's put is absolutely right. Herein what I wanna say more is the acid's choice. I have no idea of what yours will be used for. what is the right acid I supposed to be selected is the organic acid with the good chelating power like the monohydroxy acid. if you are going to remove the scale , I suggest you may try the glycolic acid( hydroxy acetic acid on eBay or Amazon [affil link] ). after the removal, adding a little glycolic acid into the well water can prevent effectively the scale, you may try it.

Good luck!
