Anodize increasing adhesive

We use sulfuric anodize heat sink (Material:aluminum 1235). We don't use dyed color solution. We use inorganic solution(Nickel base )to get dark yellow color. But we found adhesive is not good for heat sink bonding epoxy compound. Is there anything wrong or we should try phosphorous acid anodize? Thickness >0.02 mm.

Thanks! Tony Chen

Hi,

I did some Aluminum bonding with good results, for preparation I did Phosphoric Anodizing to create Pores. The pores are crucial to get a good bonding. If I am correct you go sealing in a nickel solution after anodizing? If you do that you close the pores! Andy D'Haen

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
