How to etch Evanohm? (High Chromium Alloy )

2002

Hi everyone,

Can anyone help me? I am trying to etch a high chromium alloy called Evanohm which contained 20% Chromium, 2.8% Aluminum, 2.0% Copper, 1% Silicon, 0.9% Manganese and 0.08% Zirconium. Anyone can suggest any etching method to me, I already tried Ferric Chloride with high HCl, but the surface became very rough.

Thanks You so much, hope someone can help me.

Hi, Albert. You asked how to etch Elgiloy on letter 11936 and got a response. If you tried that suggestion, please follow up!

You also asked questions & received responses on letters 8506, 10643, 10930, 11220, and 12446 without your acknowledgement of them. Please engage in the dialog. Thanks!
