I am a very big fan of the right grades (vinyl ester resin) of FRP. However, considering the aggressive attack upon glass by HF, I don't think it is appropriate even as a reinforcing shell. Better to go with heavy polypropylene, and reinforce it with steel, or stainless steel if you can afford it.
