Low stress NiFe

I was wondering if anyone has experience with electroplating 80/20 NiFe with low stress. I'm interested in maintaining the magnetic properties of the NiFe, but lowering the stress, ideally to a few 10's of MPa. A typical film thickness would be <10um.

Thanks in advance,

Dear Mike,

Sulphamate electrolyte is common used for deposition of Ni-Fe alloys with low internal stress. I use sulphate-chloride bath. This enables to obtain Ni-Fe alloy (5-30%Fe) with internal stress of 10-40 MPa.

Best wishes,

I have experience with electroplating Ni-Fe alloy (8-25% Fe)with low internal stress from sulphate-chloride bath.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
