-----Drying small diameter tubing
2002
Dear Sirs:
We are currently having a problem drying the I.D. of .250 dia steel tubing after cleaning. The tubes are .250" O.D. with .085" wall. Length is 20 feet but in some cases could be as long as 40 feet. Tubes are processed in bundles of 100-200 pieces at a time. Any suggestions?

The first question is whether you need to clean the I.D. If not, the thing to do is plug the tubing for processing. If you do need to clean it, it's unlikely that you are succeeding unless you are pumping solutions through the tubing--in which case you could also pump drying air through it.
