Etchant for 304 SS


Sir,

I wish to know what will be the good etchant for 304 stainless steel?(I am working with etching of 304SS/stencils)

Try hot (50C) 35% ferric chloride on eBay or Amazon [affil links] solution. This seems to etch most common stainlesses.
