Undesirable colorations in zinc finishes

Our company is having one of our products Zinc plated per ASTM B633, Type 3 with clear chromate conversion service class 2. After several rinses the parts have yellow streaks on the sides of the parts after drying. The plating company is assuring me that this is normal. Our customer (Dell Computer) doesn't like the yellow streaking. Any ideas on preventing this from happening.

Thanks,

It may be normal for them, but that doesn't means it's necessary  🙂

I would visit the shop and, as a first simple step, make sure that they have air agitation ⇦ huh? in the rinses following the chromate.
