Prevention of rust for steel parts (sprockets/gears)

2002

1. My steel components ( sprockets ) doesn't undergo any plating treatment after the case carburising heat treatment. I want the appearance of the component to be preserved without any change of colour after the application rust preventing chemical. Could you please suggest any such chemical. Or better suitable method to remove heat treatment scale preventing rust without any coloring treatment.

2. Also please suggest me the type of chemical to be used for the steel components duly machined to prevent rust before going for Zinc plating with the time gap of one or two months.

3. How to prevent corrosion/etching due to rust & remedy if any after that etching effect.

Thanking you,
