-----Neutralizing ferric chloride
2002
I've been using ferric chloride ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] to etch Copper. Then I put the copper in a furnace to anneal it and an awful odor is produced when it is taken out. What could this be, how do I get rid of it, and is it harmful? My first thought is to put in a base solution to neutralize the acid.
Thanks for any help,
