Brown spots on lacquered brass plates

2002

Dear Sir,

We are facing problems of brown spots appearing in our polished brass front plates (used for mounting domestic switches on wall) after few weeks when we do lacquering to protect the surface.

Do you think lacquering is the cause for brown spots to appear or there could be any other deficiency?

Can brass plates be gold plated and lacquered to preserve the finish?

You simply use gold plated brass plated and then lacquer over the surface at the same time. You will get rid the prob.

We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
