We have an e-gun Evaporator for deposition of thin films of Ti(800A), Au (5000). How is the adhesion between Ti and Au.

Ti and Au are soluble and will form a good ahesive bond. However it is essential that the titanium surface be oxide-free when the gold is deposited. Gold will not adhere to TiO2.
