Teflon and molybdenum coatings before or after nickel plating
2002
Dear Sir,
On our component, we have to carry out 'viton' rubber moulding on the steel substrate (low carbon); after moulding we have to do nickel plating on the outer diameter of the steel substrate (not on the inner diameter).
Thing is we have to do the 'teflon' & 'molybdenum' coatings on the rubber mould part, which would be the ideal process sequence to be done. That is teflon & molybdenum coatings before nickel plating or after the nickel plating?
Also, kindly send us the technical details on the teflon and molybdenum coatings.
Kindly do the needful.
Regards,

You must to make the nickel first and after the Teflon coating. Normally the Teflon molybdenum coating cures at 220° C, and do not affect at the nickel.
