-----TO FILTER OR NOT TO FILTER
Hi ,
Thanks for taking the time to read my enquiry. I have been the manager of a zinc electroplating plant for 10 years and recently my company was purchased. In the past we ran a treatment system which revolved around ph, flock ,settlement, decant and final check pH before discharging to sewer. The new owners are keen on finding a filter system that would reduce the amount of water that we use. I am not sure that the rinse water can be filtered well enough without ph correction. We run a alkaline zinc.

There is no chance of "filtering" the water and reusing it, but it is possible to reclaim and reuse some portion, maybe a large portion, via reverse osmosis or ion exchange. You'll need to deal with a wastewater treatment consultant or supplier though.
