Rust spot in iron bathtub

I just moved to an apartment with an old iron bathtub. The floor of the bathtub is wearing through and one spot is so bad that it is actually rusting. Is there a product I could spray or apply to this spot to avoid further rusting? I appreciate any suggestions.

We have recently purchased an ex-MOD house with original enamel bath. The enamel is in poor condition and needs repair. I have located products to repair chips, but the base of the bath is scratched and rust stained - do you know of a product or method of recoating with enamel?

Hi there.... you just simply go to ace hardware and shop the bath-tub repairer or just sanding it and use Mercedes paint and finish it using acrylic paint. good luck
