Stripping the bonding agent coating from metal shells

We are coating the metal shells with bonding agent. The coated parts are then injection molded to make oil seals. The problem is sometimes we have to remove the bonding agent coating from the shells for rework. Can someone tell us the procedure for that? Also I would like to have the specifications for different bonding agents.

There are a few abrasive solutions from 3M to remove these coatings without damaging the shell.
