Corrosil technique?

Can someone tell me what is "corrosil" coating technique? Can it be applied on low quality iron sheet? We want to pass 120 hrs salt spray test and effect after plating should not be ugly (means the scratch and so on should be covered and invisible after coating).

Thanks a lot.

Corrosil is a brand of topcoat sold by Atotech. Topcoats in general are used to boost corrosion performance of zinc and zinc-alloy electroplatings. It seals up some of the porosity and adds a bit of barrier protection. The layer can change the color tint of your part, but not by much. Topcoats are usually close to invisible.
