Yes. Follows a generic explanation: SS has to be cleaned, electrocleaned forward, activated with a very acidic bath called Woods strike and then a conventional acid copper sulphate ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] can deposit a dull or bright copper plate on top of the strike.
