Galvanize steel in aluminum and then anodize

Is it possible to galvanize the steel in aluminum and then anodize the aluminum coating?

In my experience, the term galvanizing is restricted to describing hot dipping in zinc. But, yes, it should prove possible to hot dip aluminize an object and then anodize it, I think. I don't know of it having been done though. I have heard of vacuum depositing a layer of aluminum and then anodizing it.
