Anodising vs Powder Coating for beach area

Q. I am looking to use aluminium bi-fold doors in beach front environment. Should I have anodised doors or will latest powder coating techniques be sufficient ?

A. Good day Chris,

I would recommend at least 20 micron or even 25 micron anodising for this application. AND, which ever way you go, maintenance is key - wash the salt spray off every couple of months and be sure to wash the uppermost portions that are not washed naturally by rain water.
