Electroforming Process




 

Dear Sir,

I'm a student of engineering in India. Sir, can I please get some information about electroforming process. I want to know about electroforming process, and the Nickel Salt which is being used in the process and the stages in which it is used.

Nickel sulphamate is by far the most widely used salt for nickel electroforming. But now you need to do a lit search and get some articles about the subject.

I am probably spoiled by the facilities available in the USA. Do a web search for books on the subject. Your University should have an interlibrary loan agreement if they do not have one or more appropriate books. It is not brain surgery, but done correctly, it is not bathtub chemistry. There is a LOT more to it than making up a simple solution and application of a negative voltage.
