Application of Autophoretic® coatings for chassis painting

I need to know the performance of Autophoretic® chemical coatings on truck chassis or MUV Frames. How much it is competitive over Cathodic Electrocoat, if used in place of e-coat for frame coatings. Primarily long term performance for corrosion protection, heat resistance, solvent resistance & gasoline / oil resistance.

The company which offers the Autophoretic® process has a booklet outlining the advantages of their process over E-coat. The purveyors of E-coat have a booklet outlining the ways in which Autophoretic® is inferior to E-coat. Start with those two booklets :-)

Automobile companies are using Cathodic Electrocoating rather than Autophoretic. I am sure quite a few would have considered both the options before making CED the de facto standard.

Another information specific to India, there are three or more supplier of CED paint chemicals whereas there is one supplier of Autophoretic® paint chemicals. When I assessed the two processes, this was the deciding factor to go in for CED technology.
