Surface treatment on commercial bullets

Does anyone know if there is a surface treatment applied on commercial bullet? If so, what is it?

By commercial bullets I am assuming that you mean Bullets as in ammunition for rifles. If this is so then often there is a coating applied. The two most common are grease and copper. It may help to answer your question more fully if you explain why you are looking for this information.
