Electroplating of plastic

I am engaged in electroplating of plastic. Presently I use electroless copper to make it conductive prior to electroplating. I have come to know that some new technique has been developed in which no electroless metal plating is required. After activation in palladium chloride solution it is treated in some type of Cu / Pd solution. It makes the plastic conductive without any visible copper coating. Then it can be electroplated in the conventional manner. If anyone can help me I'll be highly grateful to him.

Thanks,
