Delamination of electroless Ni -B plating from electrolytic deposited Ni

1.Does or can electroless Ni-B solution deposit either O2 and/or OH ions?

2.Does anyone have any knowledge regarding the delamination of electroless Ni plating from electrodeposited Ni after a Au/Ge braze operation?

Henry E. Frankel

Gawrilov shows B(OH)4- being part of the equation of the hydrolysis of boron hydride, but it looks like H2 is in the end reaction depositing Ni2B.

Plating upon electrodeposited nickel always runs the risk of poor adhesion between layers.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
