Nickel flash cold roll steel and paint performance

I am looking for experience with "nickel flash" cold rolled steel for use with paint / powder coating. Specifically looking to find examples where it may have helped or hindered salt spray and / or real world corrosion resistance. Any experiences would be appreciated.

Have you tried the manufacturers of nickel plated steel coil? They probably know who is using their product for subsequent painting.
