How to cover wood with copper

I want to mount a ceramic tile l2 inches on a board. I would like to first mount a sheet of copper on this board which will be 25 inches by 46 inches. I would like the copper to be thin..what gauge do I shop for?..and where can I get this? I live in a small town in Georgia and can't seem to find this. I am new at this type of thing..thank you for any help.

If there are old houses in your area that have copper gutters, then there is a local plumber or roofer who knows where to get copper sheet.
