Is Uranus B6 equivalent to AISI904L?

Q. Are Uranus B6 and AISI904L equivalent? What about using AISI904L in phosphoric, sulfuric acids and ammonia [on eBay or Amazon] atmosphere?

A. Hello Srinivasn!

Well, a simple search on Google turned up a site which cross references Uranus B6 as 904L. So at least one company thinks they're equivalent. Then, going to Allegheny Ludlum will give you some information on 904L. Caveat reader!

A. The material URANUS B6 is very well used in PHOSPHORIC ACID application by CHEMICAL COMPANIES LIKE INDO JORDAN, FAUJI FERTILIZERS. We are supplying this regularly.

We have give URANUS B6 as an equivalent to 904L and it has been accepted technically by the clients.
