GOLD PLATING NONMETAL ITEMS

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GOLD PLATE THE SKELETONS OF LEAVES TO MAKE JEWELRY? ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

PATRICIA SCARBERY

In terms of 'generally' how it is done, sure, I can help: You lacquer the leaf skeleton to waterproof it. Then you make it conductive with a 2-part silvering solution available from Acheson Colloids. Then you electroplate it.

But some artists spend their entire life at this craft. So if you are not already a skilled artist and electroplater, you are still a long way from success at this endeavor.

Sure I can help you . I know the steps from A to Z.. Maybe I will be able to provide you golden roses, leaves, pine cones, and other ornament items.
